Where: Sports West Athletic Club, 1575 South Virginia, corner of
Virginia Street and Mount Rose St. (not Mount Rose Highway). We play
about 70% West Coast Swing Music with a balance of Classic and New, and 30% other music, such as Cha Cha,
Night Club 2-Step, Hustle, Country 2-Step, etc.
When: Second
Saturday of each month. Lessons: 7:00-8:00pm. Basic Swing lesson;
free. Intermediate Swing; $4 members $10 guests.
Open Dancing: 8:00-11:00pm. $7 members (of any Swing Dance Club), $10
guests.
We need
volunteers to help setup for our monthly dances. We need you to arrive at
6:30 PM. We need help to wipe down and move chairs from the trailer to the dance floor. We also
need everyone to help clean up the garbage at the end of the dance, and move
chairs and tables back out to the trailer. Thank you for being considerate
members of the club.

July 11th 2009 - Free intermediate workshop with volunteers sharing a
move. Gena Child will
be the DJ. Steve Dorman will teach the Beginner's lesson.
August 1st 2009 - (Date changed because of conflict with a local
event.) Nichols King will teach an intermediate West Coast Swing lesson. Joe Loader will
be the DJ. Mark and Kim Blume will teach the Beginner's lesson.
September 12th 2009 - Wil Fugii will teach an intermediate West Coast
Swing lesson.. Ron Wilder will
be the DJ.
October 3rd 2009 - Mark and Kim Blume will teach an intermediate West
Coast Swing lesson. Steve Dorman
will be the DJ. (Date changed due to Boogie by the Bay Convention)
November 14th 2009 - Liz Wilder will teach an intermediate West
Coast Swing lesson. Michele Malchow
will be the DJ. Martin and Susan Brown will teach the Beginner's lesson.
December 12th 2009 - Annual Holiday potluck and gift exchange. No lesson.
