For the latest on were to dance in Reno, Call Gil Baertlein's Dance Hotline: 775-562-8151 Click here for the new, High Sierra Swing Dance Club in Carson City Club Night Out, every Wednesday and Sunday at John Ascuaga's Nugget's Trader Dicks Lounge and Monday nights at Club Zulu. We usually start dancing at 8 PM at John Ascuaga's Nugget's Trader Dicks Lounge. The DJ plays great music for dancing. (Warning - Several dancers have had coats, purses, or shoes stolen at the Nugget, while dancing.) Sue Bush will be selling Boogie tickets to club members only starting at the July dance. ONLY 20 TICKETS AVAILABLE! Ticket Info: Full Event Adult $115 (includes admission to all workshops, Saturday dinner, and the Thursday night dance!) Junior/Spectator: $65 Dates: October 9-12, 2008 All checks should be made out to BLSDC or TNGSDC (NO CASH!!!!!and are sold on a first come-first serve basis to club members only.

Where: Sports West Athletic Club, 1575 South Virginia, corner of Virginia Street and Mount Rose St. (not Mount Rose Highway). We play about 67% West Coast Swing Music with a balance of Classic and New, and 33% other music, such as Cha Cha, Night Club 2-Step, Hustle, Country 2-Step, etc. When: Second
Saturday of each month. Lessons: 7:00-8:00pm. Basic Swing lesson;
free. Intermediate Swing; $5 members $10 guests. We need volunteers to help setup for our monthly dances. We need you to arrive at 6:30 PM. We need help to wipe down and move chairs from the trailer to the dance floor. We also need everyone to help clean up the garbage at the end of the dance, and move chairs and tables back out to the trailer. Thank you for being considerate members of the club. Thank you to all the members that helped at the previous dances!!! Future Dance Dates for 2008: August 9th 2008 - Mark Simpkins will teach an intermediate West Coast Swing lesson. Joel Johnson will be the DJ. Jeffery Munson will teach the free Beginning WCS lesson. September 13th 2008 - Liz Wilder will teach a Hustle lesson. Ron Wilder will be the DJ. Jeffery Munson will teach the free Beginning WCS lesson. October 11th 2008 - Theresa McGarry will teach an intermediate West Coast Swing lesson. Wil Fujii will be the DJ. November 1st 2008 - (Original Date changed because it conflicts with Mountain Magic) Nicholas King will teach an intermediate West Coast Swing lesson. Will Fujii will be the DJ. December 13th 2008 - Pot Luck Christmas dinner. No Lesson. Joel Johnson will be the DJ.
